Write-the-word activities for older learners

For younger kids, using the app with a parent for a few minutes works best. The youngest learners can also just do live classes, the app is always there if you want it, never required.
Grammar and vocabulary, introduced the way kids naturally learn
Our curriculum builds lesson by lesson. Vocabulary comes first through play, songs, and pictures, while grammar is woven in through everyday phrases and repetition, never through rules or "adult" explanations.

My son was nervous about speaking Spanish to a real person. His teacher kept it easy, laughed with him when he stumbled, and by the end of 30 minutes he was actually holding a small conversation. That was not what I expected from a free class.
Emily
The free class exceeded our expectations. Since then, it's clear our daughter is more confident. She even loves going to Mexican restaurants and talking with the waiters. We're so glad we found this.

The best way to understand how it works is to experience it. We'll walk you through the program, your child takes a real 1-on-1 class with a native teacher, and we wrap up by answering anything you want to know.
1. We meet the parent
We start with a short call to learn about your child and walk you through how the live 1-on-1 classes and age-appropriate content fit together.
2. Your child takes a demo lesson
Your child jumps into a real class with a native teacher – not a sales pitch, an actual lesson so you can see the system in action.
3. We answer your questions
After the lesson, we hop back on with you to share what we saw, talk through next steps, and answer anything still on your mind.

Common questions
Everything parents ask us
What if my child is shy or nervous?
That's most kids on day one. Our certified native teachers specialize in personalizing content for young learners, so they warm your child up gently with games, visuals, and low-pressure prompts matched to their personality. It's totally normal for the first few minutes to be quiet – by the end of the free class, most kids are speaking words back on their own.
What if my child doesn't know any Spanish yet?
Not a problem! Classes start from zero and everything is visual, so no prior Spanish is needed. Your child will hear and repeat their first Spanish words in the very first lesson. If a child does know some Spanish we start them with a more advanced lesson, so everyone is learning at their own pace.
Do I need to be in the room during class?
For ages 4–6, we especially recommend it — being nearby helps with the tech and keeps them engaged. For ages 7–9, sometimes it's necessary and sometimes they do great on their own; you can decide what works best for your child.
What device works best?
A laptop or desktop with a webcam and Google Meet is ideal. Tablets work too. Headphones help but aren't required.
Do we need to have the camera on?
No — you don't need to have the camera on. Whatever makes you and your child the most comfortable is completely fine.
What happens after the free class?
Zero pressure. If it's a good fit, you pick a plan and we'll book your child's ongoing classes at your ideal time. If it's not, we part ways as friends – no card on file, nothing to cancel.
How does scheduling work?
Scheduling is flexible. Each month you're charged, your plan gives you a set number of class credits (for example, 4, 8, or 12). When you book a class, one credit is deducted. We don't hold classes on major U.S. holidays, but outside of those we generally have plenty of availability so you can pick times that work for your family.
How fast are they going to be learning Spanish?
Your child will be saying words and phrases in Spanish from the very first class. Most kids are speaking Spanish back to the teacher within the first 30 minutes.
Can I book a free class for each of my children?
Absolutely — that's totally fine. Just go through the booking process once for each child and pick a separate time for each. Booking two free classes is no problem at all.
What if I sign up for two children?
Great news — siblings can share the same plan. Your monthly class credits can be split between your kids however you like, and each child takes their own private 1-on-1 class. For example, an 8-class plan can cover two children with 4 classes each. You just book the slots for whichever child needs them. We also typically offer sibling discounts — just ask about one on your free call.
How does billing work, and can I switch plans, pause, or cancel?
Your plan renews automatically each month, so your class credits keep coming and classes continue without you doing anything. You can cancel anytime yourself — no email needed. Just use the subscription management link in the footer of this website, and your plan stays active through the end of the month you've already paid for, then simply won't renew. Switching plans or pausing is easy too. Even if you cancel, any credits you already have stay valid for up to three months from the date you bought them, so you can keep using them.
What happens right after I pay?
We create your account and email you the details, so you can log in and start scheduling your Spanish classes right away.
